The First Half ’25

Boy howdy that first half is a doozy. Okay, so I guess it’s not technically all the way through the first half yet but close enough. We’ve been in a whirlwind of gigs out of town almost every weekend for many months now and we are exhausted but feeling very blessed. From gigs for the American Heart Association, to the Make A Wish foundation, to many community libraries, arts associations, festivals, and more. We’ve been thankful for the opportunities we’ve had from here all the way to Utah. SOAR Aerial competition even had Theresa as a judge this year and that was a super fun experience seeing all of the young talent and how the future of aerial will be molded! It’s been nice having a mix of gigs where we can feel more laid back and lean into our back pocket skills in aerial, handbalancing, and acro and gigs that also pull us more into zones that we want to improve in like clowning and juggling.

We’re looking forward to this period of less gigs but more creation towards things quickly coming up, heavy act creation and show creation time, and more chances to build relationships and communities within the arts locally and around. Upcoming we are excited for the South Carolina New Play Festival in Greenville, SC where we will continue to refine and work on the show we presented at Charlotte Shout in April. September brings La Bestia and we’re stoked to see this next iteration come to life and all the amazing artists we’ll be able to bring to Charlotte to hopefully add to our local circus landscape even if only for a few days. In October we are blessed to be a part of the Take Power Make Power residency presented by BACCES which will take place in San Francisco at the ODC Theatre. So many amazing and inspiring BIPOC acrobats will be in cohort with us and we feel very thankful to be able to create with them. November will be time for us to again raise the curtains on Ricochet and we couldn’t be more happy to keep working on that project as well.

In addition to all the excitement we created new social media pages which are bit more social media forward as opposed to our personal pages which have always been mainly for us to journal our training journeys. Give us a follow over on IG or TT at Jordan_and_Theresa 🙂

We’re thankful for what this second half of the year can bring with it and are so excited to be able to mostly shift gears back into a creation focus, skill focus, and act focus. Thanks so much for the love, care, support, and humanity. ❤
