About Us

Theresa Edge

Theresa Edge, born in Fayetteville, NC, started her circus journey as an adult with no background in dance, gymnastics, or any of the physical disciplines customarily seen in this industry. In lieu of a traditional movement background, her passion was in theatre and creative writing. Since her first aerial class she’s been enamored with the potential for storytelling through circus arts. This hunger has led her to performing with various companies and projects that range from mainstage contemporary shows, educational community events, large scale corporate gigs, and more.

In addition to her on stage work- off stage, she has also served as an assistant artistic director in “The Nouveau Sud Project” (2023-2025), a core member of “The BIPOC Circus Alliance” (2023-2024), and a co-chair of the DEI Committee of the American Circus Educators (2024).

Her performing repertoire currently consists of Fabric, Aerial Hoop, Aerial Straps, Adagio, and Partner/Group Acrobatics. Theresa has been fortunate enough to travel as a freelance artist for many years but these days if she’s not training you can find her chasing around her two sons in Charlotte, NC.

Jordan Garcia

Jordan Garcia, born in Nokesville, VA, began his journey in the movement world with the pursuit to become stronger. Starting off in highschool weightlifting classes he soon moved towards Calisthenics and Handbalancing. As he learned more about physical culture he dove into various disciplines including parkour, gymnastics, rock climbing, and others before arriving to circus arts.

After arriving to Charlotte, NC he formally began his circus performance journey with various companies working mainstage contemporary shows, educational community events, large scale corporate events, and more. It was during this time that he began to hone his skills in other disciplinary fields such as Aerial Straps, Adagio, Juggling, and Partner Acrobatics.

In addition to performing Jordan is also a reputable coach having taken the steps to continue to learn about the body and exercise sciences. He has traveled nationally and internationally to teach workshops along with instructing a myriad of online students.

Theresa and Jordan

Theresa and Jordan met in “the Nouveau Sud project” and have been training together for over 6 years performing duo aerial acts, adagio acts, and partner/group acrobatic acts- in addition to their solos.

They’re passionate about training, creating, and spreading the philosophy that everyone is capable in achieving success in circus with the right dedication and progression regardless of your starting point.

It is their goal to tell meaningful and impactful stories through movement and strive to find ways to make this artform more inclusive and accessible to all.
